uDig 0.7 is at an early stage of development, we have focused on the capabilities of the system.

Useability enhancements, please provide feedback, and look improvements from UDIG 0.8 onwards. See the GeoConnections Project Schedule for more information.
UDIG 0.7 Quickstart

Windows Install,

Manual Install:

  1. Download a Java Runtime and required extensions
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1, Java Advanced Imaging 1.1.2_01 For JRE & JAI Image I/O Tools 1.0_01 for JRE
    J2SE v 5.0 JRE, Advanced Imaging v 1.1.2 & Imaging IO v 1.0.01 RC
  2. Download the 3.1 M4 RCP Runtime Binary suitable for your platform:
    Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
    Linux (x86/GTK 2)
  3. Unzip the RCP Runtime Binary where you would like to install UDIG 0.7.0
  4. Download UDIG 0.7.0 is and unzip into your RCP Runtime Binary folder
    (You will need to overwrite several files such as config.ini)
  5. Run udig and enjoy
