Alpha Software Alert
UDIG is still at an alpha stage of development, we have focused on the capabilities of the system. For user interface enhancements please look forward to UDIG 0.8 onwards - see the GeoConnections Project Schedule for more information.
Progress
We are however making great progress, we have closed 42 isses in the task tracker and are well on our way towards Milestone 3.
We have met our targets for this release, here are some of the features you can look forward to.

NEW Try the 0.6.1 (windows or zip) along with test plan.
NEW Try the Windows UDIG 0.6 Installer - this is a large download that includes a JRE all setup and ready to go.
- Download a Java Runtime and required extentions
- Download the 3.1 M2 "RCP Runtime Binary" suitable for your platform
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
Linux (x86/GTK 2)
Max OSX (Max/Carbon) - not well tested with UDIG - Unzip the RCP Runtime Binary where you would like to install UDIG 0.6
- Download UDIG 0.6 is and unzip it into your RCP Runtime Binary folder
- Run udig and enjoy
Warning: UDIG requires a Java Runtime Environment (JRE), please don't download JDK material by mistake, the JAI and ImageIO files that are needed are marked "for JRE".
