1. Download a Java Runtime and required extentions

   	J2SE v 5.0 JRE, Advanced Imaging v 1.1.2 & Imaging IO v 1.0_01 RC (Make sure you select Custom installation and not Complete or Typical!)
   	J2SE v 5.0 JRE, Advanced Imaging v 1.1.2 & Imaging IO v 1.0.01 RC
   	SDK 1.4.2, Java 3D and Advanced Imaging Update & Imaging IO v 1.0.01 RC

2. Download the 3.1 M2 "RCP Runtime Binary" suitable for your platform
   Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
   Linux (x86/GTK 2)
   Max OSX (Max/Carbon) - not well tested with UDIG
3. Unzip the RCP Runtime Binary where you would like to install UDIG 0.4
4. Download UDIG 0.4 it and unzip it overtop of your Eclipse RCP Runtime Binary folder
5. Run eclipse and enjoy
