Community Support

The uDig users list, uDig developers list and the uDig community in general are available for users with questions and comments on the project.

Bug Tracker

You can use our jira bug tracker to submit issues, bugs, and feature requests. Step by step instructions are available on the side of the community page.

Commercial Support

Refractions also offers a week long Training Course on uDig and associated technologies.

GeoSolutions (Italy) is availble for contracting developement or consultancy on the uDig platform. Its field of expertise includes, between the others, raster processing with JAI and ImageIO (they are working on GDAL SWIG bindings for ImageIO), Postgis and Oracle support as well as J2EE platform development. GeoDSS Client

The GeoDSS is part of the OGC OWS-3 project as shown in this presentation. This project brings together a varity of new and experimental services such as GeoVideo and Feature Portrayal Service with a consistent front end as only a uDig powered client can.

Java Topology Suite (JTS)

JTS provides robust implementation of the Simple Features Specification topological operators (intersection, union, overlaps, buffers).

MapServer

Mapserver is an internet map generator which can use PostGIS as a geographic feature source.

OpenGIS Consortium (OGC)

The OpenGIS consortium creates GIS standards to propote software interoperability and open standards. PostGIS follows the relevant OpenGIS standards as much as possible.

PostGIS is an extension to the PostgreSQL relational database server.
