Various notes on the uDig repository:

svn:ignore property

plugin/bin

  • Compiled code which should not be committed.

net.refractions.udig.libs/lib

  • Contains jars obtained from the build.xml ant script. These libraries should not be committed to the repository.

net.refractions.udig.libs/.classpath

  • With eclipse 3.2, comes the need to commit the classpath for the udig.libs plugin. Unfortunately, the attached source code path is included in the classpath file, and it is easy for developers to accidentally commit these changes to the repository. As a result, we have set the svn:ignore property on udig.libs to ignore the .classpath file, so you will not be able to commit changes to this file without first lifting the property by using "svn propedit svn:ignore net.refractions.udig.libs" from your plugins directory, and removing the .classpath line. Having the ignore property set allows developers to checkout the file, and make local modifications without inflicting these changes on the repository.
