I'm collecting information about uDig and its presence at FOSS4G. I guess I'll start with links to my talk and to RC12.

Code Sprint

1. Optimize JPEG rendering so that it would be performant and memory efficient.
2. Extend Jesse's Export to image plugin to export to PDF. This allows a user to specify the type of paper to print to, landscape or portrait, and the scale at which to print.
3. Fixed some issues with setScale method so that it is accurate at the moment accurate in a non-angular units. Angular units will come soon.
4. Made all references in uDig be relative to the map or catalog so a workspace or map (and its data) can be zipped up and moved to another location.
5. Began adding consolidation functionality. This will allow a user to consolidate a project or workspace. Meaning all the data will be copied or moved to the project or workspace so that it can be easily packaged, moved etc...
