This document provides instructions for setting up your development environment to work directly on the uDig project. If you only want to use the uDig SDK to create your own plugins and produce your own application please switch over to our Developers Guide.

Latest Versions
This documentation is written against the "latest" version of everything. If you have any problems with a specific release (we had some problems when upgrading to Java 6) please add a comment to the page in question.
Where possible we allow you the choice of either:
- Eclipse "Update Sites" so you can stay up to date automatically; or
- Optional prepackaged downloads as used in the Developers Guide
